But sadly in CT it’s a 99% white, middle-class phenomenon. I can’t see why that ought to be the case. I want to take this powerful tool into townships, to bridge class and race divides.

Helena Sheridan

During the most recent European summer Helena Sheridan and her brother participated in The Junk Raft Armada, starting in Calafou, Spain. Joining an international mix of activist, builders and performers who built a fleet of three junk rafts, they embarked on a trip down the Rio Ebro, spreading important ecological messages along the way. Through the experience, Helena learned a number of lessons about alternative ways of traveling, living and recycling.
